Transcend AI Academy
Learning App Terms of Service
These Terms govern parent and student use of the Transcend AI Academy learning app, including live classes, self-paced courses, recordings, assignments, portfolios, certificates, payments, and related support services.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating a parent account, enrolling a child, accessing the learning app, or allowing a student to use the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are accepting these Terms for a child, you confirm that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and that you have authority to manage the child’s learning app access.
The learning app is operated by Transcend AI Academy. In these Terms, “Transcend,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Transcend AI Academy, and “you” refers to the parent, guardian, student, tutor, staff member, or other approved user of the app.
2. Parent Accounts and Student Access
The learning app is designed for parent-controlled AI education for children and teens. Parent accounts manage enrollments, payments, student profiles, permissions, and family communications.
- Students aged 8 to 11 are intended to use the app through parent-controlled access unless Transcend provides a different supervised access model with appropriate consent.
- Students aged 12 to 16 may receive student access when a parent or guardian approves that access and Transcend activates it.
- Students may not manage payments, enrollments, refunds, or account ownership settings. Those controls remain with the parent or guardian account.
- Parents are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and for supervising how their child uses the app.
Parent control
Parents can view child learning activity, assignments, recordings, messages, certificates, and portfolio settings connected to their family account.
3. Educational Services
Transcend provides cohort-based classes, self-paced courses, learning materials, assignments, tutor feedback, recordings, certificates, portfolio tools, and related educational support. Course availability, schedules, tutors, content, access periods, and features may change as programs are updated.
Live classes may include online meetings, attendance records, learning activities, and recordings. Self-paced courses may include modules, lessons, progress tracking, videos, assignments, and downloadable or linked resources. Recordings and materials are for enrolled students and their families only unless Transcend gives written permission.
4. Payments, Enrollment, Cancellations, and Refunds
Parents may pay for programs using the payment methods shown in the app or on Transcend registration pages, which may include card payments through Stripe, Interac/manual review, installment plans, or other approved payment methods. Prices, taxes, installment schedules, and seat availability are shown during enrollment or checkout where applicable.
- An enrollment may remain pending until payment is completed, manually reviewed, or confirmed by Transcend.
- Seats, payment links, and installment holds may expire if payment is not completed within the stated time.
- Refunds, cancellations, access revocations, and payment corrections are handled according to the applicable program policy, payment method, and support decision at the time of the request.
- For enrollments in live instructor-led programs, review the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- If a third-party payment processor is used, that processor may apply its own terms, security standards, and transaction rules.
Payment control
Students cannot initiate purchases, cancellations, refunds, or payment-plan changes inside the learning app.
5. Acceptable Use
Users must use the learning app respectfully, safely, and for educational purposes. You may not misuse the app, interfere with another user’s experience, attempt to access another family’s data, upload harmful files, copy private course materials, harass others, impersonate someone else, or use the app in a way that violates law or school/community safety expectations.
Student messages and class communications may be visible to parents, tutors, support staff, managers, administrators, or owners when needed to operate the program, protect students, respond to support requests, or maintain safety.
6. Student Work, Portfolios, and Intellectual Property
Students and families keep ownership of original student-created work they submit or save in the app. By uploading assignments, project descriptions, reflections, images, files, links, or portfolio artifacts, you give Transcend permission to store, display, review, provide feedback on, and operate those materials as part of the learning service.
Portfolio content is private by default unless the parent or guardian approves a visibility setting such as unlisted or public. Published portfolio projects should not include private information, unsafe links, or content that the student does not have permission to share.
Transcend owns or licenses the course curriculum, lesson materials, videos, templates, platform design, brand assets, and app software. You may not reproduce, sell, distribute, or publicly post Transcend materials without written permission.
7. AI and Educational Content
Transcend teaches students how to use AI creatively, safely, and intelligently. AI tools and examples may produce incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unexpected output. Course content, tutor feedback, and AI-related materials are educational resources, not professional, legal, medical, financial, or mental-health advice.
Parents and students are responsible for reviewing AI-generated or student-generated work before relying on it or sharing it outside the learning app.
8. Recordings, Meetings, and Communications
Live sessions may use meeting links such as Google Meet, Zoom, or other approved providers. Sessions may be recorded so enrolled students can review lessons or catch up. Recording access may be limited by course policy, cohort dates, access settings, or account status.
Users may receive app notifications and emails about enrollments, recordings, assignments, conversations, payments, account activity, and support. Marketing messages are separate from service messages where applicable.
9. Certificates and Progress Records
Transcend may issue certificates for completed live or self-paced courses. Certificates, attendance, progress, assignment status, scores, and completion records depend on the app data available at the time. Transcend may correct, revoke, or reissue certificates if there is an error, policy issue, refund, access change, or integrity concern.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
Transcend may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe an account is misused, payment is incomplete or reversed, a user violates these Terms, a safety concern arises, or access is required by law or operational security. Parents may request account help or closure by contacting Transcend. Some records may be retained where needed for legal, safety, payment, audit, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Platform Availability and Third-Party Services
We work to keep the learning app available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be updated, removed, replaced, or temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, outages, third-party provider issues, or security needs.
The app may rely on trusted third-party services for authentication, hosting, database storage, payment processing, email, video, meetings, analytics, CRM, or support operations. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies.
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The learning app and educational services are provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Transcend disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the app or educational services.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights or protections that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify parents or present updated terms for acceptance where appropriate. The “Last updated” date shows when this version was last changed. Continued use of the learning app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
